Here are just a few of the faces of children from Our Home.

Remya, age 12

Remya lives at Our Home with her older sister Reshma and younger sister Lekshmi. She is in 6th standard and is one of the brightest students at Good Shepherd. Remya has recently won awards in various subjects including English, which she loves to practise. Remya is a diligent student, and a caring and responsible sister to all the boys and girls at Our Home.

Christen, age 15

Christen was the first child to live at Our Home. Chacko found Christen on a journey to Kerala. Christen was abandoned by his parents when he was 7 years old. He is now 13 and enjoys attendig school in 9th grade, he is a gifted writer of stories, enjoys playing cricket and helping the staff. He is an excellent role model for the younger children at Our Home.

Vera, age 5

Vera was born and left in a hospital in Hydrabad. On Chacko's 27th he arrived at the hospital and Vera was handed over to him as a gift from God. Vera has a cheeky smile and likes painting. She likes to disturb others when they are studying, so she does it daily. She loves cake.

Nikhil, age 6

Nikhil was left on a village road in the countryside when he was approximately one month old. We found him surrounded by a pack of street dogs. According to local people, one dog was standing by Nikhil for several hours, protecting him much like she would her own puppies. We arrived and brought Nikhil back to Our Home. He is a hero for Our Home. He knows all the english alphabet, he doesn't like writing Malayalam, which is the local language of Kerala. He likes to watch films, and is a fan of the film star Mamotti. He thinks he is a good singer!
