About Us
There are currently 25 million orphaned children in India - that is more than the entire population in Australia. Many orphans who are not provided with loving supportive homes end up living on the streets, fending for themselves.
Our Home Charitable Trust currently manages two childrens homes in South India (Kerala), and a local primary school for children who in many cases, would not be able to afford to attend school. Our Home strives to work with the local community so that no child is denied the right to an education, adequate shelter, love, care and a nutritional diet.
Our Home provides support love and hope to our children. There are many ways you can help them reach their full potential. Please get involved, and together, let's do what we can.
Our vision is to build a village, there are many more homeless children in need of their own home. This village will be different from any other village around us. 2 independent homes in one compound will each accommodate 20 children and two dedicated "parents" to love and care for the children. Each home will be called "Our Home" and will function as an independent family unit, but at the same time the collective houses will be known as "Our Village" and will serve as a large community network.
In order to promote optimal development and success of the children, "Our Village" will be equipped with an educational institute, a music school, playgrounds, a park, as well as other amenities.
